Amman - Middle East University in cooperation with QS organized a workshop about participation in annual QS ranking for the top 800 universities in the world. Member of the Board of Trustees Dr. Ahmad Nasereddin met Ashwin Fernandes the regional director for Middle East, North Africa & South Asia at QS Intelligence Unit. During the meeting, Dr. Nasereddin said that Middle East University seeks to build an educational system based on excellence and creativity in accordance with national and international standards and classifications. On the other hand, Mr. Fernandes stated that the importance of organizing this workshop lies in spreading the culture of universality and communication between universities.
It is worth mentioning that Middle East University received the Certificate of Quality Assurance of Educational Institutions-Gold Level from Accreditation and Quality Assurance Commission for Higher Education Institutions. Also, the University hosts several British academic programmes in cooperation with Bedfordshire University.
The Middle East University was founded in 2005 as a Graduate Studies University with twelve specializations. Towards the beginning of the academic year 2008-2009 the university opened twenty specializations for both Graduate and Undergraduate students with the ongoing growth in staff and students.
